Actress Bonnie Hunt who was born on September 22, 1961) is an American actress and comedian. Her screen appearances include Rain Man, Beethoven, Beethoven's 2nd, Jumanji, Jerry Maguire, The Green Mile, Cheaper by the Dozen, and Cheaper by the Dozen 2. In animation, Hunt has voiced characters in A Bug's Life, Zootopia, and the Monsters, Inc., Cars, and Toy Story series. She was a leading actress in Grand and Davis Rules, and wrote, produced, and acted in The Building, Bonnie, and Life with Bonnie. From 2008 to 2010, she was the host of The Bonnie Hunt Show. Early life Bonnie Hunt, born on September 22, 1961, hails from Chicago, Illinois. She was born to Robert Edward Hunt (1927-1981), an electrician, and Alice E. Hunt (née Jatczak) (1925-2021). Her father was from Irish and Belgian descent, and her mother is of Polish heritage. Her siblings include three older brothers: Patrick, Kevin, and Tom, as well as two older sisters, Cathy and Carol, and a younger sister, Mary. She attended Catholic schools, going to Saint Ferdinand School and Notre Dame High School for Girls in Chicago, and also worked part-time as a nurse's aide. In 1982, Hunt became an oncology nurse at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Two years later, in 1984, she co-founded a comedy troupe known as An Impulsive Thing. In 1986, Hunt joined Chicago's famed Second City troupe. She auditioned for the part of waitress Sally Dibbs in Rain Man in 1988 while still a nurse, ultimately winning the role.
